And if you read the piece it was less about whether he's truly toast or not, but more so that Daly seems to continue to struggle with consistency not only on the course but in his excuses. It's the lapband, it's the eyes, it's not physical, it's mental...it's this, it's that. We love the guy but it's hard to not get a feeling you've seen this movie before, no? Uhhh…because of the over the top comments he and his golf coach gave that it was unlike anything else they’d seen/experienced?

The guy is on a comeback - not in the middle of a stretch of great golf. I am more willing to excuse the 88 as an aberration and look at the 19 good/decent rounds he played leading up to the final round of the British Open.
